YasTix ("we", "our", or "us") operates the YasTix ticketing management platform, including the desktop application, mobile application, and website at yastix.org. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.
1. Information We Collect
We collect the following types of information:
- Account Information: Username, full name, email address, and hashed password when you create an account.
- Event & Ticket Data: Event names, venues, dates, ticket IDs, ticket statuses, and related information you create within the platform.
- Register Interest Data: Name, email address, and phone number submitted by attendees through the Register Interest form.
- Usage Data: Basic platform usage information for system functionality.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide and maintain the YasTix ticketing platform
- To authenticate users and manage account access
- To send email notifications when attendees register interest in your events
- To sync ticket and event data across devices
- To generate QR codes for ticket verification
3. Data Storage
Your data is stored securely on servers hosted by Hostinger (Netherlands). All passwords are hashed using SHA-256 and are never stored in plain text. Data is transmitted over HTTPS encryption.
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or share your personal information with third parties except:
- With your explicit consent
- To comply with legal obligations
- To protect the rights and safety of our users
5. Data Retention
We retain your account and event data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us at info@yastix.org.
6. Mobile Application
The YasTix Android application may request the following permissions:
- Camera: Used for scanning QR codes on tickets
- Internet: Required to sync data with the cloud server
- Vibration: Used for scan confirmation feedback
We do not collect or transmit any camera imagery — camera access is used solely for QR code scanning within the app.
7. Attendee Data (Register Interest)
When attendees submit a Register Interest form on your event page, their name, email, and phone number are:
- Stored in our secure database
- Forwarded to the event organizer via email notification
- Visible to the event organizer in their YasTix inbox
Attendees may request removal of their data by contacting the event organizer or emailing info@yastix.org.
8. Cookies
The YasTix web portal uses session cookies for authentication purposes only. These cookies expire when you close your browser or after 8 hours of inactivity. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.
9. Security
We implement industry-standard security measures including HTTPS encryption, hashed passwords, and API key authentication. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
10. Children's Privacy
YasTix is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes by updating the date at the top of this page.
